House Updates

We've been busy busy busy in the house the last couple of weeks. Thought I would post a few photos for everyone to see.
Sam has done custom built-ins in all the closets. This is the master. I'm really loving it. We no longer even need a dresser in the bedroom, everything fits in the closet with room to spare.
Drawers, cubbies, and long hanging on one wall Double hanging on the end and a bank of shelves on the third wall.
Isn't Sam just great at this stuff?!
We also did both kids' closets with drawers, cubbies and hanging and lots of shelves in the playroom closet. I've put Before/After photos of everything on my craft blog.

Kaitlyn was VERY excited about painting her room so that was the first thing we did. She loved helping with the pink wall.

And Tyler wanted a say in what went in his so we did a "green" wall. This was as close as I wanted to go to the color he probably wanted. It's bright, but it works really well with his quilt and makes it feel like a very fun boy's room. And we finally got ourselves a real dining table. It's 60" round, bistro-style (you need barstools to sit at it) and probably a teeny bit too big for the space. But I love it and it looks fantastic with my cupboards.

So that's our quick update. Progress will probably be going a bit slower now that the holidays are over and we have to start having some sort of normal life with work and school and finding activities for the kids and all. But I fully intend to have this whole house painted and some of the rooms completely finished by...well sometime in the next few months... :)

I am a huge fan of the built-in's in your closets! I am married to a complete clothes hound and that would be a dream come true for me! ;)

Wow! It's looking good. I'm quite jealous of the lovely walk-in closet and the built-ins. I just found a really fun woodworking website. This lady builds super-cool furniture and has all the plans for free online. I wish you were here so you could help me build all of them :). The website is ana-white.com. You'll have to check it out.

Thanks girls! As you can see, I've been pretty motivated to get things pulled together as soon as possible. Lots more to go.
Stacey - I love that site! Found it a while ago but forgot about it so thanks for the link! I would love to be there to help - if only. How is the house stuff going for you?
